Use a scalp cooling pack

Using a homemade scalp cooling pack will not only soothe your scalp but also aid scalp conditions by warding off dandruff, foul smell, oil and sweat. Using a pack made from aloe vera gel and peppermint oil will work wonders for these scalp problems. Aloe vera and peppermint act as natural cooling agents and instantly cool your scalp. You can simply make a homemade scalp pack by mixing 6-7 tablespoons of aloe vera gel and 2-3 drops of peppermint oil. Apply this to the scalp and let it rest for 45 minutes. Follow it up with a hair wash using a shampoo and conditioner that works for your hair type.
Scalp protection

Avoid direct sunlight to the scalp with scarves and hats. You need to remember that your scalp is an extension of your skin. Your scalp needs to be protected just like your face. Wearing a hat or a scarf will ensure that your scalp stays protected while you’re outdoors and doesn’t get greasy easily. Another suggestion would be to steer clear of heat styling that will further trap heat into your scalp and cause scalp concerns. The heat radiated off these devices will leave your hair dry and damaged along with eventually causing breakage, which is a common problem during this season. Hence, it’s best to stay away from blow dryers during the summers if you truly wish to keep your scalp cool.
Use a cold compress

This might be a tad difficult for those with long and thick hair but applying a cold compress to your scalp can help cool your skin and soothe any scalp irritation. All you have to do is, freeze the cold compress and section your hair. Let the cold compress rest on the scalp for a few seconds. Repeat this 3-4 times.
Wash your hair regularly

Washing your hair twice or thrice a week is mandatory during summer, to not only let your scalp cool down but also wash off all the bacteria and sweat that the scalp accumulates due to sweat. By using the Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner, you will provide your hair with the much-needed nourishment. The shampoo is made with Oxyfusion Technology and has a lightweight texture—just what you need in the summers. Its oxygen-infused conditioning ingredients will moisturise your hair and add 95 per cent body and fullness. Follow this up with the conditioner that will make your tresses smooth as ever.
