Prep your hair well

The Goddess braid

Before you start braiding your hair, it is important that you give it some grit and hold, for the hairstyle to last longer. For this, you can spray on some Toni&Guy Casual : Sea Salt Texturising Spray This spray helps create a texture and volume to give your braid a light hold.

The Goddess braid

Dutch braids have a lot of wow factor attached to them and the best part is that they’re super easy to braid. This hairstyle looks just as good on short hair as it does on long!

How to get it:

Step 1: Start with centre parting your hair all the way down your head to create two equal sections. Tie one section using a hair tie and keep it out of your way.

Step 2:  Take the open hair section and brush out any sections. Then from the front of your head, pick up a small section and divide it into three.

Step 3: Start by crossing the right one under the middle followed by the left one under the middle. Start adding more bits of hair to this as you progress downwards.

Step 4: Continue doing this until you reach the length you desire and secure it with a hair tie. But remember to leave a small portion of hair towards the end.

Step 5: Repeat this process on the other side too.

Step 6: Take the open ends of both the Dutch braids, remove the hair tie and tie both of the sections together.

Macramé braids

The Goddess braid

If you are bored of all the normal braids, then this is the hairdo you need to try. The macramé braid is a fun update on the classic braid and its ideal for getting those long bangs out of your face.

Step 1: Use smaller sections of your hair and start with braiding a normal 3-strand braid.

Step 2: When you get to the end of the braid, hold the outer most and middle in one hand and the third in the other hand.

Step 3: Push the two sections of the braid towards the root while holding the 3rd piece tight. Your macramé braid is ready!
