Every girl will agree when we say that perfecting a smokey eye is a life tool you all need! And if creating a smokey eye is a gamble for you, that sometimes pays off, and sometimes you end up looking like a panda, here is a fool proof way to create a smokey eye that will give you an enviable smoke show every time, guaranteed!

The trick is all in the blending, says our in-house makeup expert, Bushra S Khan, as she takes you through a step-by-step guide to nailing the perfect smokey eye, even if you are a certified makeup lazy bum!

Highlight the brow bone and deepen the crease

Highlight the brow bone and deepen the crease

Step 01:

Highlight the brow bone and deepen the crease

Take the Lakmé Absolute Moon-Lit Highlighter, and use the lighter colour to highlight the area just below your brow bone. Use the darker shade and apply it in the crease of your eye and blend it well.

Step 02:

Apply eyeshadow on your eyelids

Take the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette in Gold and apply a brown shadow all across your upper eyelid.

Step 03:

Darken the outer corner and the lower lash line

Use a flat top brush to apply a dark eyeshadow on the outer ‘V’ of your upper eye lid. Use the same eyeshadow palette as above, and pick a dark shade for this.  Sweep the same colour along your lower lash line for a sultry look.

Step 04:

Line your eyes

Use the Lakmé Absolute Kareena Kapoor Khan Eye Definer in Espresso to line your eyes and use the sponge provided at one end of the pencil to smudge it and soften the lines.

Step 05:

Add kohl and mascara

Use Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate Kajal in Black to tight line your upper and lower waterlines. Using a black eye pencil will give an intense finish. Top it off with a few coats of Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Dramatic Eyes Mascara.
