While there are many myths surrounding eating rice the irrefutable fact is that rice is beneficial for your skin. Having rice as a primary ingredient in a face pack or any skin care product is sure to give you healthy skin. So, whether you eat rice or not, use it in your face pack for glowing skin.

Here are some rice face masks for different skin concerns.
 

Rice and cinnamon mask for dry skin

Rice is a natural skin toner which also improves blood circulation, giving you glowing skin. Cinnamon is rich in polyphenols, antioxidants that fight free-radicals. Glycerine helps lock moisture into your skin preventing dryness. Combine these three ingredients to make a face mask that get rids of dry skin.

Mix ½ cup boiled rice with 2 tbsp. of cinnamon and 1 tbsp. of glycerine. Apply this pack on your face and let it stay for 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water.

Use this mask once a week for nourished skin.

 

Rice and honey mask for oily skin

Oily skin needs face masks which contain ingredients that cleanse your pores without dehydrating your skin. We have just the thing for you. A rice, milk and honey face mask will help you get rid of oily skin. Milk contains lactic acid which removes excess oil from your skin and its nourishing properties will moisturise your skin. Honey is an anti-septic and contains anti-bacterial properties which fight acne-causing bacteria. Lastly, the rice absorbs excess sebum from your skin leaving it grease-free.

Take 3 tbsp. of cooked rice and add 2 tbsp. honey and 1 tbsp. of raw milk to it. Mix well to form a paste and apply it to your face. Let it sit for 20 minutes then wash it with cold water.

Apply the mask two to three times a week to get radiant skin.

Egg whites have astringent properties that tighten your skin, while rice is rich in vitamin B which helps with cell regeneration and slows skin ageing. Glycerine prevents ageing by acting as a barrier for the skin’s surface.

For a skin tightening face mask mix together 2 tbsp. rice flour with 1 egg white and 4 drops of glycerine. Massage this mixture onto your face and let it dry. Wash it off with cold water.

Do this once or twice a week for glowing and supple skin.
