DIY strawberry and pomegranate scrub for healthy, glowing skin

Exfoliation is an essential step in a skincare routine. If you haven’t added it as part of your beauty routine, you need to do so ASAP!

A good scrub helps eliminate dead skin cells, cleans pores and lifts away dry and dead skin cells. This process gives your face a really beautiful glow. If you’re keen on adding an exfoliator to your skincare routine, we have a really simple DIY scrub that leaves your skin with a healthy glow and smells amazing too.

You will need:

You will need:

Oats – acts as an amazing natural cleanser.

Rice – helps to even out skin texture by gently exfoliating it.

Strawberry powder – the salicylic acid in strawberry acts as a great exfoliator to refine your pores and make them appear smaller.

Pomegranate powder – antioxidants in pomegranate helps prevent skin damage, stimulates collagen production and keeps your skin looking youthful.

Bentonite clay – helps control excess sebum production, draws out toxins from your pores, tightens skin to keep it looking young and radiant.

How to prepare:

Step 01: Blend the oats and rice together until they form a slightly coarse powder

Step 02: Pour into a glass mixing bowl

Step 03: Add the clay and the fruit powders to this mixture and blend well

Step 04: Store this mixture in an airtight container.

How to use: Take about one teaspoon of this mixture into a bowl and add a few drops of water. Mix everything together until it forms a creamy paste. Apply to face and neck using circular motions, then wash off with water.

Don't have time to create this blend? We've found a ready to use scrub that offers the same results. The Lakme Blush & Glow Face Scrub With Strawberry Extracts is perfect for anyone looking for bright, smooth and glowing skin.
