5 BRIGHTENING FACE PACKS FOR THE BRIDE
Dull and lacklustre skin on your wedding day? Now, that could be your worst nightmare coming true. But it’s not uncommon for every bride to fight dull skin—environmental aggressors and the absence of a skin care routine based on one’s skin type often cause the skin to lose its brightness. Unfortunately, by the time you realise it, the harm is done and might actually take a considerable amount of time to heal and get your original complexion back. But if you do have a wedding in the offing, it’s best to take charge of your skin now by embracing brightening face packs that will treat your skin concerns and improve your complexion. Here’s what you can try out at home...

Yoghurt+honey

Walnuts+milk

Mix 2 tsp of yoghurt with 1tsp honey and apply this concoction to your face for that bridal glow. Leave it on for 15 minutes before washing off with lukewarm water. Yoghurt is naturally rich in zinc, a mineral that helps to deal with skin tans and lighten blemishes while honey is known for its moisturising properties. Together, these ingredients, make for a perfect face pack for skin brightening.

Potato+lemon pack

Walnuts+milk

Peel and grate one small potato and add one tablespoon lemon juice to it. Apply this on your face for about 20 and then wash off. Being rich in Vitamin C, potato is known to nourish the skin and remove dark spots. Lemon is a natural bleaching agent, which automatically works towards removing darkness and revealing a bridal glow.

Banana+almond oil

Walnuts+milk

Mash one banana and make a paste out of it. Add one teaspoon almond oil and then apply this pack on your face. Wash off after 15 minutes. Since Vitamin C and B6 are both responsible in improving the skin’s complexion as well as increasing the production of collagen in the skin, this bridal face pack is perfect if you want brighter looking skin. If you’re wondering what role almond oil plays in this, it is giving the skin its dose of Vitamin E, A and D—all of which works as antixodiants for the skin.

Orange+sandalwood

Walnuts+milk

Add water to make a paste with one spoon of orange peel powder and sandalwood. Massage this paste on your face for 3 minutes and then leave it on followed by washing your face. While the Vitamin C in oranges helps your skin from the ill effects of free radicals, sandalwood is known for its blemish fighting and skin lightening properties. Hence, using this as a face pack could actually work wonders for your skin, especially if you’re a looking for a bridal face pack for glowing skin.

Walnuts+milk

Walnuts+milk

Soak walnuts in water for at least an hour and then mash them to create a paste out of them. Add milk cream to this mix and then apply this to your face for about 10 minutes. Walnuts are rich in antioxidants and aid in decreasing the issues caused by oxidative stress and dead skin—the real reason why your skin turns darker while milk cream is known to hydrate your skin. Use this face pack twice a week 3 months prior to your wedding for best results.
