How to prevent eyeshadow fallout
Eyeshadows are the ultimate must-haves when it comes to sporting a statement eye makeup look. But as much as eyeshadow looks gorgeous, applying it is a hassle and fallout is one of the major reasons behind that hassle. Eyeshadow fallout ruins the rest of your face (cheeks, especially), and the result? A major makeup downer. Turns out, a few simple steps can help that from happening. Read on to know more…

Use shadow shields

Shadow shields are semi circled stickies that you can stick underneath your eye to protect the under-eye area from any fallout. These are easily available online and often come in packs of 30.

Prime your eyes

Just as the primer acts as a base on your skin for your makeup to stay on longer, it does the same job for the eyeshadow as well. Think of it like a glue that helps the pigment stick better. We recommend the Lakmé Absolute Blur Perfect Primer that’ll do the job just fine and avoid any fallout.

Do your eye makeup before the face

This is the classic method to avoid eyeshadow fallout. Prime your eyes followed by some concealing (if required) and fill in your eyeshadow all you want and let it fall on your cheeks—you’ve got no makeup on your face anyway! Brush off all the fallen pigment and then do the rest of the face.

Wet the eyeshadow brush

And by this, we don’t mean drench it in water. You gotta dampen it a little and get rid of the extra water on the brush or you can also spray a face mist/makeup setting spray to dampen it. Not only will this help pick up the pigment well on the brush, but also give a better payoff and absolutely no fallout.

Before getting on with your eyeshadow, dust your under eyes with a lot of translucent powder. If you’ve just applied concealer, the powder will help set it and also will catch the fallen shadow pigment, which you will be dusting away anyway! Once the application is done, get rid of the powder using a fluffy brush.
