If subtle, delicate looks are not your thing, then simply go back to super dramatic smokey eye makeup.

2. Cherry Cola Lips

The TikTok girlies love fancy names like icy glam and siren eyes. Well, today, we are going to look at cherry cola lips that go with every aesthetic and trending makeup looks.

  • Outline your lips with burgundy or dark brown like the Lakmē Absolute 3D Lip Definer - Ruby for a 3D effect. Don’t forget to fill in the sides as well and blend it out. The centre of your lips needs to be bare and lived-in like we’ve already gone through our day with a full lip.

  • Next, apply red lip gloss all over like the Lakmē 9 to 5 Matte to Glass Liquid Lip - Fiery Red which gives a more saturated version of the dual-toned lips that most of us desi girls have.

3. Espresso Makeup

This year, we have the espresso makeup which is more sultry than the fresh-eyed latte makeup. It is basically a bronzed with a smokey eye makeup look for the night.

  • Once your base is set, take a bronzer or a dark contouring shade. A powder works best in such a case such as the bronzer from the Lakmē Absolute Facelift Palette. Go over the sides of your nose, jaw, under your cheeks, temple and the crease of your eyes. Blend it out with your finger or a brush.

  • Next, add some colour to your face with a creamy blush over your cheeks. We love the peach shade of Lakmē Absolute Sheer Cheek Mousse. It is super light but buildable if you are in the mood for some extra drama. Again, don’t forget to blend!

  • For the eyes, turn to a dark brown smokey eye makeup. The key is to outline your eyes with Lakmē Eyeconic Ultra Smooth Kohl Liner and smoke it out to switch your latte eyes to an espresso look.

  • Finally, for the lips, a brown glossy look is the way to go. We love Lakmē 9 to 5 Matte to Glass Liquid Lip - Salted Caramel for its two-in-one option. You can just apply the matte brown and leave it at that if you don’t like glossy lips.

4. Glazed Blush

Wondering what it is that Sabrina Carpenter and Hailey Bieber do to get that dreamy look? Well, it’s all with the cheeks. Glazed blush is your usual dewy look with a more prominent blush.

  • Once you have your base set, makeup gurus suggest going in with a powder blush and cream blush. But we’ve got you by combining both steps with the Lakmē 9 to 5 Powerplay Velvet Crème Blush. It gives the full coverage of a powder and the dewy, cheek stain effect of a cream blush.

  • But for that extra blurry, hazy effect, the secret sauce is a glowing highlighter right on top of the blush. Just go all in with the Lakmē Face It Highlighter - Gold which gives a subtle shine without being too sparkly, making it perfect for the glazed look.

5. Glass Skin

It will take a while to get the enviable glass skin with our skincare regime. But till then, makeup has our back. The main features of this look are a natural flush and dewy effect.

  • For the base, go in with the Lakmē Absolute Luminous Skin Tint Foundation to even out your complexion without making it too cakey.

  • For the eyes, it is a subtle version of the crying girl makeup. Swipe on some taupe or peach to your eyelids. Then all you need to do is add a little red for a natural flush of colour. But see that it is not bright red as we want to go for a natural look. To stay in line with the dewy theme, add a little glitter on the lower lash line.

  • You need to add more colour for that splotchy, tear-stained look. But don’t go over the top. Take a buildable blush like the Lakmē Absolute Sheer Cheek Mousse - Pink Berry and lightly dot it on your cheek, near your eyes and on the nose. As usual, don’t forget to blend!

  • For the lips, keep it subtle with a lip tint or tinted gloss.

  • Next, go over the high points of your face with a cream highlighter. You want your face to glow but not look like you’ve jumped into a vat of glitter. So, lightly go in with the creamy Lakmē 9 to 5 Powerplay Velvet Crème Highlighter and blend it out.

  • The final touch is a setting spray instead of a setting powder. The Lakmē Absolute Made to Last Setting Spray will keep your makeup in place while giving you a hydrated, glassy finish.

FAQs on Latest Makeup Trends

Q1. How to wear purple blush?

While purple blush may be a thing now, it can be a little daunting to wear. The key is to go for a dark shade which looks almost mauve as this will suit most Indian skin tones. As for the rest of the makeup, keep it a nude look so you don’t have to worry about finding the right shades for your eyes or lips.

Q2. What are the colours of 2024

While peach and glitter were a favourite at the beginning of the year, it is now all about cherry red and olive green for the colours of 2024.

Q3. When’s the next fashion week?

After New York and London, Milan Fashion Week will take place from February 20 to 26 followed by Paris Fashion Week which is till March 5. As for our desi events, Lakme Fashion Week is set to be from March 13 to 17.
