DESIGNER RADHIKA AGRAWAL TELLS YOU HOW TO MAKE A STATEMENT WITH YOUR JEWELLERY
Confused by all the party jewellery options out there? Jewellery designer Radhika Agrawal gives you 5 fun ways to make a statement with your jewellery this party season.

JEWELLERY

BB: What are the jewellery trends this party season?

Radhika: Heavy metal, geometric shapes, fancy floral, tribal and flirty motif jewels are trending this season. Layering of metallics with XXL links or multi rings, plucking out the daisies and roses from the floral garden for your jewel box and adding on the Hamsa or the panther to your motif diary is a must.

BB: What are the go-to party pieces?

Radhika: You can never go wrong with a gem-drenched bib, a hand harness/ gold cuffs/ figurative cuffs, chandelier earrings/ danglers and a glam choker.

BB: How do you match your jewellery to your outfit?

Radhika: With the increasing jewellery trend, it’s essential to pick the perfect piece to complete your look. There are no rules to follow while you choose your jewellery but make sure you don’t overdo it. Focus and play around by accessorising one point like your neck with a fun statement necklace and tone down the rest. Be brave, be bold and give your outfit a quirky touch with your statement piece of jewellery.

JEWELLERY

BB: What kind of metal should one opt for?

Radhika: With the rising prices of fine jewellery traditionally made of gold, silver and platinum, the trend for costume jewellery (which is made out of base metals ) is rising. Base metal is an industrial term used for non-precious metals for costume jewellery that includes copper, aluminium, brass and nickel silver. Jewellery made out of these metals is cost-effective and economical and one can always have variety in their closet as they are quite pocket-friendly.

BB: What is your favourite party pick?

Radhika: Oversized chandelier earrings/danglers to add that extra oomph to your LBD or embellished cocktail dress.
