Kiss dry, flaky lips goodbye with these 5 moisturising lip scrubs

It’s no news that your lips shed dead skin cells just like the rest of your facial skin. That’s one of the main reasons why you get dry, flaky and chapped lips. The only way to make sure your lips remain healthy and soft is by introducing regular exfoliation in your lip care regimen. Exfoliation helps get rid of dead skin buildup to give you smooth, baby soft lips. To help you out, we’ve listed five super effective lip scrubs you can include in your lip care routine right away. Check ‘em out…

Orange lip scrub

This scrub is the answer to all your lip woes! While the powdered orange peel and brown sugar work as an excellent exfoliant that also treats discolouration on the lips, the almond oil helps moisturise dry, flaky lips.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoon powdered orange peel
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • Few drops of almond oil

Take all the ingredients together and mix it all well. Once done, scoop out some of the scrub on your fingertips and rub it gently on your lips for 1-2 minutes. Then wipe it off with a washcloth and layer your lips with the Vaseline Lip Tins Cocoa Butter to seal in the moisture. Use this scrub once a week for soft, supple lips.

To say goodbye to a dry, flaky pout, all you need is this amazing honey, sugar and lavender scrub. This helps in improving the texture of your lips, reducing dark spots and most importantly nourishing and moisturising your lips.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Few drops of lavender essential oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Take all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them well together. Then, take some of this scrub on your fingertips and rub them over your lips for a few seconds. Then wash them with lukewarm water. Use this scrub at least twice a week and you’d love the healthy look of your lips.

Salt and sugar lip scrub

This scrub has two of the best natural exfoliants in the world - sugar and salt. While these two help scrub away the dead skin cells and make your lips smoother, the olive oil and lip balm work to moisturise your dry and flaky pout.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 Vaseline Lip Tins Original Care

Put all these ingredients in a bowl and mix them. Then, apply some of this homemade scrub on your lips. Next, use a clean toothbrush and gently rub it on your lips in a circular motion for 1-2 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water or a washcloth and you’re good to go!

Yup, all you need are these two very easily available ingredients. Mix them in a dish and use it to scrub your lips. Once done, use a wet wipe to clean your lips and put on a moisturising lip balm like the Vaseline Lip Tins Aloe to keep your pout hydrated.
