6 celebrities who spoke openly about their skin struggles
When it comes to skin problems, you might be under the false notion that celebrities don’t have any. But just like us, they’re also real people with real problems–be it acne, spots, dry skin, your fave celebs have gone through it all. If a celeb steps out with a zit, the world loses it. Our question is - why exactly? Here are a few celebrities who came out openly about their skin struggles proving to the world that skin problems are normal as hell and surely aren’t something to be laughed at…

Katy Perry

Lorde

Katy Perry opened up about her bad skin days where she stated her urge to “want to hide”. The singer has struggled with acne in the past and would want to wear makeup to bed because of her breakouts. We can all relate, can’t we?

Kalki Koechlin

Lorde

While shooting for her film ‘Jia aur Jia’, Kalki had to smoke a lot as smoking is one of her character’s traits. What makes it worse is that it wasn’t casual, everyday smoking; ‘coz you know, it’s a movie? So, the smoking scenes had retakes. Although she had stopped smoking three years ago, the role demanded her to smoke. She also revealed that because they were shooting in Sweden’s chilly weather, they would end up having a drink every evening. This wrecked her skin instantly.

Kendall Jenner

Lorde

Recently, Kendall Jenner turned up at the Golden Globes looking like an absolute doll. But there were a bunch of trolls doing what they do best–scrutinizing every little detail on Kendall’s face, they trolled her for attending an awards show with her pimples being so visible. In the past, she has also spoken about dealing with acne and how it completely “ruined her self-esteem” and made her feel like an “outcast”.

Jacqueline Fernandez

Lorde

Jacqueline has struggled with acne in the past because of which she had to make some major diet changes. The ‘macrobiotic’ diet (a diet that balances elements of food with Zen Buddhism) that she started helped her skin revive and get rid of acne problems. She’s been following the diet for 4 years now.

Masaba Gupta

Lorde

The designer’s Instagram post in which she addressed some serious acne related issues went viral instantly. She spoke about how the acne made her look like she had a “cigarette stubbed in her face”. Not just that, she spoke about how she had a few men telling her how they wished to “throw up” after seeing her face. Props to Masaba for opening up about a sensitive topic like this.

Lorde

Lorde

The 21-year-old singer casually posted a makeup-free selfie of herself on Instagram with caption, “In Paris with my acne cream on” a few years ago. We love the way she casually addressed this issue as something so normal which only tells us that it happens to the best of us and is nothing to shy away from.
