Make no mistake! Keep these things in mind while picking a hair colour for your big day…

When your bridal look is in question, nothing, we repeat NOTHING, can go wrong. From your headgear to your heels, everything’s got to ooze gorgeousness. As you’re probably stressing over your outfit and jewellery, here’s some help from our end as far as your hair is concerned.

If you’re going to get a hair colour for your D Day, we have got some suggestions on how to pick the right hair colour so there’s no going wrong with the hue on your wedding. Here is everything you should consider before getting your hair dyed for your big day...

Your skin tone

While some hair colours can bring out eyes and flatter your complexion, others can totally bring it down. You don’t want that. If you have cool toned skin like fair, pale or pinkish tone, go for cooler shades like burgundy or wood or honey highlights. If you have more of a warmer skin tone like olive, wheatish or dusky, deep red or golden highlights and auburn and deep browns are your best bet.

Your outfit and your look should reflect your personality. Think about the bridal look you are going for on your D Day as your hair colour can accentuate the look. Is it a modern bride look, traditional or bohemian? A traditional bride can try auburn hues, while two toned highlights would go well with the bohemian look. A subtle highlight in cool shade can make a statement for an elegant bridal look. Dreamy bridal look with pastel outfit would look best with warm toned highlights like caramel brown and hazelnut shade.

Whether your hair is straight, wavy or curly also matters. Ombré highlights with a shade lighter than your natural hair colour looks good on wavy and curly hair. If you have straight hair, you can try warm toned highlights in deep red or browns or cool toned like blue. If you have frizzy hair, avoid highlights as they draw attention to the texture of hair. Instead get dip dye or full hair colour in subtle tone.
